Cocobolo Rosewood turning square 3 x 3 x 18" long kiln dried, super figure!

This listing is for ONE 3 x 3 x 18 inch long turning square of cocobolo rosewood. This turning square does NOT have centerheart or pith. This is true cocobolo rosewood with the scientific name dalbergia retusa. This listing is for ONE piece of 3 x 3 x 18 inch long squared cocobolo that has been kiln dried and end-sealed with wax. This turning blank is pith-centerheart free. It will make some amazing turnings such as furniture legs, musical instruments, peppermills, sculptures, batons, etc. This is true cocobolo rosewood with the scientific name dalbergia retusa . This is from an extremely dry area in Nicaragua and has very tight growth rings and lots of burls, swirls, and beautiful colors (reds, yellows, oranges, and lots of black stripes!) This turning square has been end sealed with anchorseal wax (an inert, emulsified bees wax that is organic and so safe you could eat it) so that the wood dries evenly and slowly in our kilns. We have low temperature dehumidifaction kilns, so the wood dries slowly and will not have stresses, checking, and problems associated with high temperature kiln drying. All of our cocobolo lumber, turning blanks, and guitar sets have been kiln dried. Beware of green wood that has moisture pockets inside and will change its size and dimensions. Nicaragua cocobolo usually sells for more per board foot compared to Mexican Cocobolo that is softer and not as highly figured. This cocobolo comes from an extremely dry part of Nicaragua
