83" Cocobolo Rosewood Block, planed, pith-free, kiln dried

This listing is for a huge cocobolo block (# 31) that measures 83.625 inches long x 4.875 inches wide x 4.875 inches thick. It has been kiln dried and planed. It is 13.80 board feet and weighs around 75 pounds. This block will be great for guitar sides or furniture. This block DOES NOT have centerheart or pith.

We own teak plantations, sawmills, kilns, and a very high end, precision woodworking facility in the tropics. You can buy the teak directly from us--the grower and importer, or you can pay a significantly higher price after the wood has been marked up by two or three middlemen. This is true cocobolo rosewood with the scientific name Dalbergia retusa from Nicaragua. Nicaraguan cocobolo usually sells for more per board foot compared to Mexican cocobolo. Mexican cocobolo sells for much less as this wood is softer and not as highly figured as Nicaraguan cocobolo. This cocobolo comes from an extremely dry part of Nicaragua along the southeastern Pacific coast and is world class. Cocobolo rosewood makes amazing guitars and furniture. This wood has been kiln dried.
